Database drivers
A driver connects a database system to the shared database panel: it opens connections, returns the schema, analyzes and executes queries. Additional drivers are installed as separate packages.
Supported engines
| Engine | Delivery |
|---|---|
| MySQL | Built-in mysql adapter. |
| ClickHouse | Built-in clickhouse adapter. |
| Another database or custom protocol | A separate compatible driver; the Git installer alone does not provide support for every database system. |
Built-in engines require no package installation. External drivers appear in the same Engine selector when creating a database profile.
Where to start
- Install a driver — Git source, package review and server restart.
- Package structure —
engine.json, entry point and adapter contract. - Build your own driver — development and verification steps.
Database drivers, tracker drivers and plugins use different manifests and entry points. Sharing an installer does not make them interchangeable. Install database drivers from the Databases section.
Connect after installation
Select the engine in a database profile, enter its address, user, database and role. A driver does not replace the database account or its permissions. For tunneling, first open an SSH session.
The engine list is built at server startup. Installing, updating or rolling back an external driver requires a manual restart.
